It was going so well....

"You shall be defeated by the apathy that plagues you....
...You shall be consumed by the cowardice that binds you....
......You shall be twisted by the envy that drives you....
...You shall be overwhelmed by the arrogance that disfigures you...
You shall be burned by the rage that controls you...."

I must confess that I always liked this little speech, from the Ark Angels in ZM14. It left a kind of bitter taste in my mind that I always found quite powerful. I never really thought about it further than the words on the page.

And yet, as I got home this morning after another night out, I cannot think of a phrase that more accurately describes how I feel at this moment in time.

It was going so well....
