Some Good News... and some FFXI!! o.O

After 4 months waiting, I finally learned yesterday that I have the offer of a place on the Creative Writing Masters that I applied for back in February. I feel like I just lost ten stone worth of weight off my shoulders; I'm so relieved.

In fact, I was so relieved that I logged on to FFXI last night and didn't log off almost straight away. In fact, Rhikku, Lega and Soran were just about to start a party so, despite only being BLU51 to their 53-54, I joined them for a foray into my favourite early-mid-50s levelling spot: King Ranperre's Tomb. Since I was at 6k to 52, I used my Empress Band straight away for bonus XP. We then proceeded to hack bats into small, squidgy chunks. It has to be said, that my physical accuracy was horrible, but many of my phyisical SPELLS were doing substantial damage still. I was regularly getting Bludgeons into the 80s (not bad considering its 3-hit) and Smite of Rage was doing impressive damage too (I assume, therefore, that it is a piercing attack which is strong vs bird-types....) Unfortunately, I was at about 1500tnl when Rhikk noted that a storm was brewing outside, and shortly thereafter she musta got zapped by lightning or something, cos she d/ced. I was getting pretty tired - it had been a long day - so I cut my losses and went to bed. Annoyingly, I'd just used the first recharge on my Emp band, so that will still be running when I log back in. I just hope I get a party quick-like next time I'm on.

And now, I need to go and cancel a load of direct debits and stuff. Since I have this Master's place now, I can finally start getting myself sorted into the new house I was hoping to move into, but wasn't able to make the final say for until I found out if I'd got a course to go on. Convoluted no? ~_~
