BLU52, Cerise Doublet, and a PARTY ON DRK!!!

I've played FFXI a reasonable amount since my last blog, and I have achieved several things.

1) I hit lv.52 BLU in a party in King Ramperre's Tomb. The party was much too high level for me but they were desperately in need of a puller. Since I have ranged attacks, it fell to me. Unfortunately, no RDM refresh and a BRD who kept overwriting my ballad when I ran back for it, left me with very few MP. Sigh. Still, lv.52 which means Filamented Hold (good) and Cold Wave (bad) are unlocked for me. I still need to go get Frightful Roar from Phomiuna Acqueducts, but now I've seen that the Taurus there are DC at 40, should be ok to duo them!



2) Rhikku, Legalus, Kabin, and myself (as well as some other spods) went on a Subligar Hunt the other day (or, as Rhik calls it, a "pantie raid" -.-;) The subligar are dropped off Fomor mobs in Phomiuna Aqueducts and the Sacrarium. Each subligar is named after a sign of the zodiac and drops off a certain job-type Fomor. I had just discovered that the lv.50 JSE bodies (which I already have one of, for THF) got a slight reworking with the last update. The Cerise Doublet (formally RDM/BRD only) can now be worn by BLU. +3ACC and +3ATK are quite nice stats and will see my through till 55, plus I can wear it for 50 capped events. So we hit the Aqueducts. Despite me feeling like absolute shit (headache, sore throat etc etc) we spent 2-3 hours down there I think, and on the very last mob I said I could manage to kill, we got the Libra Subligar I needed (from Fomor BRD).



I logged in the next day with my subligar and went to see Brygid the Stylist in Bastok. She asked me to wear a Bishop's Robe (120k in jeuno 0,0) and a pair of Iron Cuisses (30k in jeuno). 150k spent and I looked like a total retard. Dunno why she's a fashion stylist. She probably thinks Saik looks good in his BRD XP gear!



Anyways, I got my doublet, which is rather swanky. So I'm happy.

3) Finally, in a shocking twist, I actually got a party invite on DRK the other day. We went to Bibiki Bay and spent about 3 hours killing Dhalmels with abandon. Took us a while to warm up but we were soon chaining the things quite regularly, except when they decided to Healing Breeze themselves right after we'd SCed, which was annoying. Although I didn't actually level, we made about 9k xp, which has left me at 4k tnl. Huzzah.
