Shikaree Ring

Although I'm technically posting this after Saik's post, its been so long since he's made one that I'm gonna backdate it so his'll still show at the top of the page. =)

Last couple of days I've been levelling WAR, and I have to say its been really good fun. The one thing that has annoyed me though is my low accuracy, mostly due to the fact that I'm elvaan and we have low DEX (which is linked to ACC). Yeah I do more DMG when I hit, but I need to hit first!

WAR in a pt today told me that I should use axes cos they have an A skill, instead of swords cos they only have a B skill. Of course, the swords I was using have a total of +6ACC and my sword skill is capped for many, many levels. I out-TPed him, and out-damaged him. =)

But yeah, accuracy. Browsing the Auction House there's not a great deal ACC+ wise at this level. Tilt Belt at 40 is the first real ACC boost. Only thing I could possibly get is a Shikaree Ring, the Ex replacement for the Archer's Ring that used to be dropped by Stroper Chyme in Ordelle's Cave before RMTers monopolised the Chyme.

So I switched to THF/RNG (for widescan) and went down to the caves to try my luck.

Stroper Chyme is now on a 12min pop timer, and he pops in 4 locations. One of them is miles away from the others, but I thought they popped in sequence to start with, so i was running between all 4. Then I wised up and started to run between the 3 ones that were close together. This proved much less annoying. Chyme, however, was proving notorious on drop rates as I had expected.



Still: 1/23 isn't bad for an evening's work. An extra +2ACC and a nice +2RACC for my crossbow spamming will go down rather nicely.

Now I just need to make some cash.... I hope my stuff sells overnight >.>;;;
