Death of the Light

Today I finally got to see how that tempting "Delete Character" button works. You know, the one you are always REALLY careful to avoid because you think its instantaneous death for your beloved FFXI avatar.

Today Solais, my hume female mule in Bastok, departed the world of Vanadiel for good. With all the stuff that I have been selling in the last few days, I was rappidly running out of the need for her as a mule. So in the end I transfered all her stuff to Claiomh, then deleted her from existance!

Interestingly though, is the Playonline Content ID Deletion screen, which - rather nicely - tells you the date that you purchased each of your characters on. This was revelatory for me, and reminds me of the exact day I started playing with Dema. Here, then, is my list.

Checking the Playtime button on Menu2 in FFXI, I see that I have been playing for [206 days 4hrs] on Dema. 206 REAL LIFE days, out of about 700 REAL LIFE days seems quite a lot. In fact, it IS quite a lot. Sheesh.

Anyways, R.I.P. Solais.
