Let's Cut Through the Static

Hello chums.

Today's title is a pun on the fact for the last few weeks my FFXI gaming has been based around the Ansible static. This consists of:

Chuckey - WHM / Taru
Obsidion - COR / Elv
Demajen - PLD / Elv
Kanntara - MNK / Hum
Saikyo - NIN / Elv

We're currently level 35, and as Dema mentioned I'm switching to WAR at 37 for fun and games. After a shaky start the static has been going great guns. A few observations:

1) I'm playing NIN as a pure damage dealer, and even doing that it's not cheap. I have sympathy with NIN tanks!

2) Demajen has to work hard to keep hate off the MNK and the COR (who is subbing /rng). This may serve Dema right for complaining PLD had nothing to do earlier in our career!

3) Being in a static is a lot of fun.

4) We desperately need someone playing a class that can Dispel. Although we have a PLD our WHM is a walking juice factory so Refresh is of secondary importance to Dispel. Unfortunately BRDs and RDMs are like gold dust. I understand BLU gets a Dispel effect around 46 though, so in a pinch a BLU would do.

If you know anyone with BRD or RDM (preferably somewhere in the 30s, although we could always catch up, or alternatively, boost you to catch up with us) who has an interest in joining a highly succesful and friendly static with a never ending supply of Predator jokes, then please send us their name on a postcard. The static meets for 3 hours Thursday evenings 7pm - 10pm EST and we average around 5k - 6k an hour with a pick up 6th, so just think of the glory you could get as a part of the succesful team. Oh, and you get to be in my Ansible videos too. Movie stardom awaits!
